An interior design concept known as feng shui arranges rooms to encourage harmony and balance with the natural world. Feng and shui are Chinese words that mean “wind” and “water,” respectively. Together, they illustrate the relationship between nature and human life by describing the movement of wind and water.

Principles
1. The eight components of your life are represented by the bagua areas:
family, money, fame, relationships, children, knowledge, tai chi (a Chinese practice that involves mild exercise and meditation), career, and helpful people. The bagua map is an energy blueprint that can be modified to fit various feng shui techniques.
2. Chi:
According to feng shui, chi is a vital link that connects human existence to the natural world. According to feng shui, the arrangement of furnishings, ornamental items, and even whole structures takes the flow of chi into account. With feng shui, you can cultivate positive energy by keeping clutter to a minimum and making clear paths around furnishings.
3. The five components Feng shui’s five components
These are wood, metal, fire, water, and earth. The color palettes and attributes of each of these components vary. For instance, fire is represented by red, and wood by earthy hues like blue and green. Choose no more than three components to emphasize and adjust the color scheme to balance them in your house.
4. Yang and yin:
Yang is vivid and bold, whereas yin is serene and gloomy. By symbolizing various areas of a house, these two opposing energies in the Chinese notion of yin and yang create balance. Yin’s gentle hues are ideal for bedrooms and other peaceful spaces. Active environments that promote chi through bright colors and lots of sunlight, such kitchens and home offices, fit yang traits.
