Observe Children Acting Morally The best strategy is to compliment children on a job well done, such as “You made your bed without being asked—that’s terrific!” maybe “I was watching you play with your sister and you were very patient.” In the long term, these remarks will have a more positive impact on conduct than frequent reprimands.

3. Define boundaries and adhere to your discipline consistently. Every home needs discipline.

4. Schedule Time for Your Children Get up ten minutes early to go for a stroll after supper or to eat breakfast with your child. Children who feel their parents aren’t giving them the attention they want frequently disobey.
