Why iphone stops charging. What to do next

iPhones have a feature called “Optimized Battery Charging” designed to extend the overall lifespan of the battery. When enabled, this feature learns your daily charging patterns and slows down the battery aging process by avoiding continuous full charges.

Around 80%, the charging might slow down or stop temporarily to reduce stress on the battery. It aims to minimize chemical aging, which occurs when the battery is kept at high charge levels for extended periods. You can find and adjust this feature in Settings under “Battery” > “Battery Health.”

Keep in mind that if you’re using your iPhone while charging or if the battery temperature is outside the optimal range, the charging might also slow down or pause for safety reasons.

To disable the Optimized Battery Charging feature on your iPhone, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Battery.”

3. Under the “Battery Health” section, you’ll find the “Optimized Battery Charging” option. Toggle it off.

Disabling this feature means your iPhone will no longer actively learn your charging patterns to optimize battery health. Keep in mind that while this might allow you to charge your phone to 100% more quickly, it could potentially lead to faster battery aging over time. Use this feature according to your preference and charging habits.

Stay tuned for more updates.
