5 Easy Steps to Making a Healthy Smoothie

A smoothie is a beverage made by pureeing ingredients in a blender. A smoothie commonly has a liquid base, such as fruit juice or milk, yogurt or ice cream. Other ingredients may be added, including fruits, vegetables, non-dairy milk, crushed ice, whey powder or nutritional supplements.

1) Select the fruit that you wish to use in your smoothie. You can choose to have a single fruit or a combination of them

2) Choose the liquid that you desire. Water or fruit juice are great options,but milk and yogurt work well if you want to add  calcium to your tasty health beverage. Feel free to experiment and have fun with tea or soy! In a smoothie, ice is usually added, but if your fruit is already frozen,there’s no need to use it. It a wonderful idea to add fruit juice to your smoothie, but keep in mind that fruit juice you add will have sugar

3) Include some green. Any green vegetable, such as celery, spinach, or  kale, adds a wonderful nutritional balance. The best part is that you won’t taste them because they mix in so seamlessly that you won’t even realize they’re there

4) Enhance, fruit tastes excellent on its own, so there’s really no need to sweeten it. However, you can include honey, peanut butter, coconut shavings, chopped almonds, or a teaspoon of vanilla extract if you want to add something extra unique to it

5) Blend your ingredients. You probably already knew this, but to be sure, look for the button labeled ” shake, puree, or smoothie.”

It should only take minute to complete. After it’s finished, give your drink minute to settle before savoring your tasty, healthful beverage to cool yourself in the summer.
