Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, his big label debut album, was released by Tyscot Records in 2012. With chartings in the Billboard 200, the Top Gospel Albums, and the Independent Albums charts, this was a Billboard breakthrough record. Since June 2008, he has been the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Brown was born on October 22, 1981. At the Upper Marlboro, Maryland-based First Baptist Church of Glenarden, he was appointed Assistant Minister of Music in 2008 and subsequently led worship. Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, which was released by Tyscot Records on August 21, 2012, marked the beginning of his musical career.[5] Brown and Justin Savage produced it. With positions at No. 130 on the Billboard 200, No. 3 on the Gospel Albums chart, and No. 19 on the Independent Albums chart, the album was the breakthrough release on the Billboard charts.
