New seven wonders of the world. A Swiss foundation started an initiative to identify the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2000. Since only one of the Seven Wonders the Pyramids of Giza remains standing after the original list was created in the second century BCE, it seemed appropriate to update it.

However, More than 100 million votes were cast via text message or online, suggesting that people all over the world agreed. The 2007 results were greeted with both applause and teasing since several well-known candidates, including the  Athens’s Acropolis, were left out.

Meanwhile, A global vote of more than 100 million people selected the New Seven Wonders of the World, which are the most amazing man-made constructions on the planet. All of these constructions are architectural and engineering wonders that epitomize human ingenuity and creativity.

Also, On the seventh day of the seventh month of 2007, the New7Wonders global movement celebrated the results of the world’s first global voting campaign. The announcement of the Official New 7 Wonders of the World and the results of over 100 million votes were made in Lisbon.

1. Itza, Chichen

However, this amazing ancient Mayan city is located in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. During the Classic period (250–900 AD), it was one of the most powerful and affluent centers of Mayan civilization, with a significant impact on religion, politics, and culture. The city is home to a number of breathtaking buildings that provide insigh.

2. The Colosseum

Also, the Colosseum in Rome are demonstrated by a massive amphitheater that is tucked away in the center of Rome. Built by the Flavian emperors in the first century AD, this famous landmark is still one of the most recognizable representations of ancient Rome and is the largest amphitheater ever built.

3. Christ the redeemer

Meanwhile, standing majestically atop Corcovado Mountain with a commanding view of the energetic city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is Christ the Redeemer, a soaring monument to faith and hope. One of the biggest Art Deco statues in the world, this famous statue has come to represent Christianity and Brazil’s rich cultural legacy.

However, an ancient city tucked away in the magnificent Andes Mountains of Peru, Machu Picchu is a monument to the Inca civilization’s inventiveness and architectural mastery. Built during the height of the Inca Empire in the 15th century, this amazing location was hidden from the public for centuries.

6. Petra Petra

Although, a monument to the creativity and artistry of the Nabataean civilization, is carved into the center of Jordan’s sandstone cliffs. Known as the “Rose-Red City,” this ancient city is one of the most famous archaeological treasures in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

7. The Taj Mahal

Meanwhile, located on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India, this ivory-white marble mausoleum is a magnificent example of architectural genius and love. The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan ordered the Mughal architecture to be built in 1631, and Mumtaz Mahal, his adored wife, is buried there. This famous monument is a masterwork of Mughal architecture that skillfully combines Islamic, Persian, and Indian design elements.
