Types of depression

There are different types of depression. The symptoms for each can range from fairly minor through to severe.

Major depression

Major depression, or major depressive complaint is the specialized term used by health professionals and experimenters to describe the most common type of depressionOther terms occasionally used include unipolar depression or clinical depression.

Depression can be described as mildmoderate or severe.

Dysthymia

The symptoms of dysthymia( occasionally called Persistent Depressive complaint) are analogous to those of major depression, but are less severe and more patient. A person has to have this milder depression for further than two times to be diagnosed with dysthymia.

Psychotic depression

occasionally, people with a depressive condition can lose touch with reality. This can involve visionsseeing or hearing effects that aren’t there) or visions( false beliefs that aren’t participated by others), similar as believing they’re bad or evil, or that they’re being watched or followed or that everyone is against them. This is known as psychotic depression

Bipolar complaint

little need for sleep
